Athletes that have advanced in the Freestylerz and/or Freeride groups and have both excellent Freestyle skills and a strong desire to compete may be invited to the Development Team.

Competition Team focus: Reaching for the Podium.

 

The highest level of FPSC Freestyle skiers are invited to the Competition Team.  These athletes are focused, competitive skiers looking to achieve growth and success in their sport.  Athletes are required to participate in additional dryland training which may include trampoline, water ramp/airbag and mid-week on-snow sessions (held in Calgary, Kimberley, Panorama).

Athletes may choose to focus on a specific discipline, however, are required to participate at some level in all disciplines to maximize cross training.  Athletes are encouraged to attend all Timber Tour Events throughout BC. The Canada Cup and higher-level events are also part of the program for athletes that are ready.
