Hi everyone, I’m coach Deb.
I started coaching with FPSC in 2010. I am a Certified Club Coach, working as a Lead Coach with Fundamentalz, and have Level 3 CSIA Instructors training.
As a kid growing up in Calgary, I would look longingly to the Rocky Mountains, dreaming of the day I could learn to ski. Once I realized that goal, Fortress Mtn and Sunshine were my favourite ski hills.
When I moved to Invermere with my husband to start a family I discovered Panorama and I loved our hill so much, I became a Mountain Friend so I could show it off to all the guests.
My love to share in that skiing experience and to improve my own ski ability brought me to become a ski instructor, and the following year, a FreeRide Coach.
My philosophy for my students and athletes is what it was for myself— “the better you become at skiing, the more fun you can have with the added confidence.”
So my goal is to always build confidence, skill level, and encourage new experiences.
I am big on skier responsibility, etiquette, and safety, as well as respect for yourself and your team members.
I like to make sure every athlete in my group comes away with a solid technical ski ability, and introductory Park and mogul course skills.
I work on expectations, making way to experiencing surprises!
