Freestyle Development Team
(Ages 9+)
Athletes that have advanced in the Freestylerz group and wish to take their skills to the next level are encouraged to join the Freestyle Development team.
Focus: Fine-tune your competition skills.
LTAD: Train To Train
The Development Team is where freestyle dreams start to take shape. Athletes in this program train regularly on-snow to refine their fundamentals and build consistency across moguls, slopestyle, and all-mountain terrain. The focus shifts from learning the basics to training like an athlete. Aligned with the Train to Train stage of the LTAD pathway, this program refines skills, coordination, and mental focus.
Development Team athletes are encouraged to attend at a minimum one Timber Tour (or BC’s new Shred Series for younger athletes) in addition to regional events such as the Kootenay Freestyle Classic (KFC). These competitions offer valuable experience and the chance to showcase skills. In addition to on-snow training, athletes are encouraged to take part in supplemental training activities such as trampoline, airbag, and water ramp sessions. A valid Freestyle membership is required for participation.
Push your limits and elevate your skills with the Development Team!
