WHO WE ARE
Our coaches genuinely love being out there on the hill with the athletes. We aim to help them build skills, find confidence, and have a good time. Everyone on our team brings their own strengths and experiences, and that’s what makes our community so fun. We care about the people just as much as the skiing and riding.
If you ask us what matters most, it’s that every athlete feels welcome, supported, and proud of themselves as they grow.

Mikey Brush:
Head Coach
Mike has been part of the FPSC family since since 2010 and we are thrilled to have him back with us as Head Coach this year. Mike literally grew up ON the mountain (his bedroom was 5 feet from Pano snow!) and has long been regarded as a local Freestyle Phenom!
He has competed in and won numerous Freeski and Slopestyle competitions all over North America. Mike is excited to bring his special brand of rad-ness to all of the young athletes of FPSC.
Mike's focus this season will be leading the charge as Head Coach as well as developing our Slopestyle Team.

Lauren Ryan:
High Performance
Lauren is an athlete-focused coach with a passion for building well-rounded athletes. Originally from Saskatchewan, Lauren grew up skiing freestyle and competed with Team Sask before transitioning into coaching.
With a strong background in technical development, Lauren balances progression on snow with personal growth and mental performance. She believes in creating a collaborative, trusting environment where athletes are supported in pushing their limits and discovering their true potential.

Josie Sharpe:
Lead Development Coach
Hey everyone, I’m Coach Josie! I’m the Lead Comp Dev coach this year. This will be my seventh season coaching!.

I grew up skiing freestyle, and competed with the Calgary Mogul Team. As an athlete, I had a love for moguls, which continues to be my favourite discipline!

I believe in creating a safe, fun environment where athletes feel supported to push themselves to try new things and meet their goals! I strive to create a foundation of mutual trust with my athletes, working with the Development crew to learn not just how to be better skiers-but how to be better athletes!

Kaleigh Meadus:
Lead Freeride Coach
Hello! My name is Kaleigh, I was raised in the Columbia Valley and started skiing at a young age in Panorama with this club. Coming in with a background in competitive Freeride skiing, it has always been my dream to run a Big Mtn team, and that is exactly my role here at FPSC! The Freeride team specializes in IFSA-based training criteria, making the most of every training day by challenging athletes to shred to the best of their abilities while practicing mindfulness of safety/conditions in off-piste terrain.
If I’m not coaching our dedicated team, you can find me tree-skiing, fishing or enjoying a nice morning paddleboard on the Invermere lake.

Deb Dakin:
Fundamentals Lead
I've been coaching with FPSC since 2010. I'm working as a Lead Coach with Fundamentalz, and have Level 3 CSIA Instructors training.
When I moved to Invermere with my husband to start a family I discovered Panorama and I loved our hill so much, I became a Mountain Friend so I could show it off to all the guests.
My love to share in that skiing experience and to improve my own ski ability brought me to become a ski instructor, and the following year, a FreeRide Coach.
My philosophy for my students and athletes is what it was for myself— “the better you become at skiing, the more fun you can have with the added confidence.”
So my goal is to always build confidence, skill level, and encourage new experiences.
I am big on skier responsibility, etiquette, and safety, as well as respect for yourself and your team members.
I like to make sure every athlete in my group comes away with a solid technical ski ability, and introductory Park and mogul course skills.
I work on expectations, making way to experiencing surprises!

Pamela MacDonald: General Manager
Pam is the backbone of our club, and quite possibly the reason the rest of us know where we’re supposed to be and when. A true wizard with a spreadsheet, she somehow keeps the entire operation organized, on schedule, and moving forward… all while keeping us laughing and smiling along the way.
Pam’s journey with the club started as a parent before becoming a board member, and eventually stepping into the role of General Manager. Today, she carries so much of what keeps our team running. With one child now coaching and two still in our programs, the club is truly a family affair.
When she’s not keeping us all in line, you can probably find Pam chasing her next adventure, whether that means paddling across Canada or disappearing into the woods of Ontario.
We’re incredibly lucky to have her at the heart of our team.
