Freeride Team

(Ages 13 - 18)

We are getting back to our roots!  FPSC is pleased to offer a Freeride program for the 2020/21 season.  This team is aimed at skiers aged 13 and older who are dedicated to applying Freestyle skills in an in-bounds Mountain environment.  Our goal is to provide passionate Freestylers who have developed a solid foundation in their sport an opportunity to continue to advance through the athlete long-term development continuum (  This team can provide athletes wishing to pursue competition outside of the traditional Freestyle disciplines (i.e., aerials, moguls, halfpipe, slopestyle, big air) another option.  The FPSC Freeriders will rip it up in Panorama’s exceptional steep and deep terrain with excellent coaches and like-minded friends.

Our goal this season is to re-introduce the discipline of Freeride to our club with the goal of training for and eventually planning a competition.  Once we get this introductory season under our belt, we look forward to the possibility of hosting our own FPSC Freeride competition in 2021/22.

This program runs for 14 weeks with options for 28 or 14 days on snow.  Athletes will cross train using both the mogul and slopestyle course, but the primary focus will be on applying previously learned Freestyle skills to the awesome natural terrain found at Panorama’s black and double-black runs.  All training will occur strictly within bounds.  Athletes will train with different coaches throughout the season and will learn important skills related to natural mogul skiing, air safety and risk assessment.
