Born and raised in the Columbia Valley, Panorama is Joelle's home mountain. However, she spent her teenage years living and skiing at SilverStar where she was introduced to the sport of freestyle skiing. Very quickly she found her community and unlocked her passion for gettin' out there, pushing herself, her skills and coaching the next generation of young skiers.

 

Joelle started coaching for Freestyle Panorama back in 2014, and has seen many great seasons on snow with her athletes. Some highlights include growing our girls' programs, coaching Timber Tour events, BC Games, club level comps like the KFC, hosting Girlstylerz camps and running local dryland training. She's also a Wilderness First Responder, Level 2 Ski Instructor, certified competitive gymnastics coach, trampoline coach and has most recently found her passion for outdoor and early childhood education.

 

Her goal is to help kids learn through experience and on their own terms, creating positive memories on the mountain that will last a lifetime. Oh, and by the way, she's a mom to 2 future Freestyle Pano super-skiers: 3 year old Leo and 1 year old Findlay!
